LIFE AT FOODITUDE

All our team members receive online training in areas such as Health & Safety, Food Safety and Food Allergens. We also provide extensive training in other areas such as Customer Service, Effective Teams, Leadership, Employment Law, Equality & Diversity, Disability Awareness, Coffee & Wine, Sustainability and other modules relevant to your role.

Team members can receive training whilst remaining in the workplace or through external training operators. The main methods of our on-the-job training include demonstrations: showing you how to do the job, and through coaching: a more intensive method of training that involves a close working relationship between an experienced employee and the trainee. Such training includes manual handling, working safely in the kitchen, covid safety, food service and presentation, chef workshops, fire marshall, refresher food safety and food allergen training, and first aid through external training sources.

1. A day-in-the-life: all employees can experience another role for the day where you work alongside another employee whose role you want to learn more about.
2. Food workshops: includes cooking, food presentation skills, new menu tastings led by our kitchen management
3. Beverage workshops: includes cocktail making sessions and drink tastings with suppliers and our operations manager.
4. Industry seminars and workshops: employees can attend external seminars and workshops that may be of interest or relevant to their role.

Most of our management and new roles have been filled through internal promotion. We support our team members to develop professionally, so we’re flexible for individual training needs.
